What is Glass Deco?
Glass Deco is the making of Sun-catchers, Wind Chimes, Frames etc using a purpose designed glue/paint that is non-toxic, acid free water based glue/paint that turns into a pliable and translucent film once the glue/paint has dried. The plastic moulded shape of the design you have chosen will have raised outlines that make welled areas.
Using the glue/paint you simply put enough paint in to ½ to ¾ fill the welled area of your choice. Then using a toothpick you push the paint into any tight spots. If spills or overfilling occur simply soak the paint up with cotton buds.
As with most arts/crafts wearing of old clothes is advised or a paint smock to save any soiling of clothes. If paint is spilt on clothing rinse the area before it dries and sets.
Basic tools required: Toothpicks………. for pushing the paint into tight spots Needle or pin……. for unclogging bottle nozzles Cotton Buds………to soak up spills or overfills Nappy wipes…….... to clean bottle tips to stop paint drying on tipsMaking your own Key Ring, Wind Chime or Frame

Step 1 Choose the design you want to colour |
Step 2 Start filling in each section with different colours |
Step 3 Add colours. Only fill to 3/4 full, then use a tooth pick to spread the colour into tight spots |
Step 4 Don't over fill!! If one colour spills into the other, use a cotton bud to soak it up |

Step 5 Keep adding colours until finished filling all welled areas. |
Step 6 You can leave sections clear if you wish... |
Step 7 Or you can flood the background with the colour of your choice. |
Step 8 Leave flat until completely dry.... Dries translucent |
